BONDED WAREHOUSE

We store all our casks in bonded warehouses.

What does "bonded" mean?

It means there are no duty tax liable to be paid, as long as the whisky remains in the bonded warehouse.

02

DUTY REPRESENTATIVE

Once you know which warehouse your cask is at, as a private owner you will need to appoint a Duty Representative to hold dutiable goods in UK on your behalf. By law, you must be licensed for excise goods held in duty suspension in a warehouse. As a WOWGR fully licensed company, we are the trusted representatives for our clients, we will take care of all your warehousing care and after sales services.

INSURANCE

Our insurance providers are AVIVA UK. All our clients' casks are fully insured as long as they stay at the original warehouse.

CARE SERVICES

RE-GAUGE

Whisky is best let alone and sleep. We do not recommend a re-gauge too frequently, a good range is every 3-5 years.
What is a re-gauge?
It's like a health check to see what level of alcohol is at, to be a spirit it must not be bottled below 40% alcohol.

SAMPLING

Take a small sample of your cask any-time. The cask is yours to enjoy!

RE-RACK

Most whiskies mature in bourbon casks. If you prefer added value touches to the result of the colour and flavours, we can arrange a re-rack of your bourbon cask into a sherry cask and let the spirit develop additional natural aromas.

OWNERSHIP TRANSFER

During the maturing period and you decide to transfer ownership, via us we can administrate your application.

As a fully licensed WOWGR, we are the duty representatives of our client's casks. Meaning, everything about your cask will be taken care of by us for you. Making your cask ownership journey simple, direct and clear.

BOTTLING

When your cask reaches to it's bottling age, it will need to go through a bottling plant. There are several procedures to go through, but we are here to assist so the journey is smooth.
