The Art of Scotch Whisky — A Memorable Evening at E105 Lounge

We were honoured to be invited by The Hong Kong Jockey Club to a private whisky tasting at the exclusive E105 Lounge, a members-only space known for its refined atmosphere and curated experiences.

The theme of the evening was “The Art of Scotch Whisky”, and despite the unexpected arrival of Typhoon Signal No. 8, the spirit of the night remained high. Members gathered with enthusiasm, eager to explore the craftsmanship and complexity behind two exceptional Scotch whiskies:

GlenAllachie 15 Year Old — A rich and elegant Speyside whisky, known for its deep sherry influence, notes of dark chocolate, raisins, and a touch of spice.

Caol Ila Distillers Edition 2022 — A beautifully balanced Islay expression, combining smoky peat with sweet, wine-cask richness, offering a layered and memorable finish.

Though the event had to end earlier than planned due to the weather, the atmosphere was warm and lively. Guests shared stories, impressions, and laughter over each dram, turning the tasting into a celebration of both whisky and community.

A heartfelt thank you to The Hong Kong Jockey Club for the invitation and for hosting such a thoughtful and enjoyable evening. Even a typhoon couldn’t dampen the appreciation for fine whisky and good company.
